You purchase a new face wash, it might not suit you..you might get breakouts , sensitivity etc ; because your facial skin is way more sensitive than your body skin…Body wash is one those skincare products that gives you the scope to explore, and so, I make the fullest use of it.
Our body skin also gets infected by bacteria and we can face skin problems which are not as common as that of the facial skin, but still they are evident. So getting ingredients like tea tree oil and neem oil is always a boon. With these benefits, today I am going to review the St. D’vence tea tree oil body wash.
About the product:
Now this product has got a lot of promotional boost starting from offering free samples to including them in subscription boxes. I got mine in a subscription box i.e. the zotezo box and that’s how I got to give it a try!
The product comes in a small cute plastic bottle (transparent it is, and how you can see the rich green shower gel inside) The consistency is very thick and thus you need to squeeze the bottle hard in order to pour out the gel. It lathers moderately good and indeed has antibacterial properties.
St. D’vence Tea Tree Oil Body Wash is a proportionate blend of 100% pure and organic Australian Tea Tree Oil with Peppermint Oil, Eucalyptus Oil and active minerals to help fight fungal infections and body odour while leaving the skin refreshed and hydrated. The authentic blended aroma, will rise from the very first gallop and lift your senses and delighting you instantly. It is gentle enough for all skin types and beautifully balanced for face and body. Formulated with natural antiseptics and antimicrobial oils, it is good to treat skin conditions like eczema, athlete’s foot and ringworms. It penetrates deep into your skin, eliminating acne, impurities, cleansing blocked pores and reducing excess oils without leaving behind the heavy residue. Awake and uplift your senses with this body wash because we know, when your skin feels good, you feel good.

My take on this product:
Firstly, I didn’t like the smell of this product because I was expecting the refreshing aroma of tea tree oil but in actual, it is the overpowering smell of peppermint oil that entirely dominates and thus this body wash happens to smell exactly like a mouth wash. The formulation of this St. D’vence body wash is a very thick gel which can be moderately worked into a lather ( which is great as it is neither highly surfactant based nor too mild to cleanse effectively) The cleansing effects are good enough (use a body sponge or loofah preferentially because otherwise it will lather too less) There is no soapy afterfeel once rinsed. Also I must say that it’s antibacterial properties are quite evident because I once had some irritation and redness on the skin on my hand and on washing with this body wash helped me cure it in 2 days. Infact this is a saviour for many kinds of skin problems that can be cured by the strong antibacterial effects of tea tree oil which would have otherwise worsened.
I would give it a thumbs up 👍 for:
- Nice packaging
- Reasonably priced
- Good antibacterial properties
- Good cleansing properties
- Lathers moderately
- No harmful chemicals
I would give it a thumbs down 👎 for:
- I just don’t like its mouth wash kind of smell
How much would I rate it out of 5:
