Forest Essentials sweet narangi lip balm review

Hello peeps! Today I have come up with the review of the forest essentials sweet narangi (with organic bee wax) lip balm. Now, this forest essentials is a 100% natural Ayurvedic luxury brand and it’s unique and pure formulations actually tempted me to give it a try.

P.S. I didn’t buy this separately but it was a part of the facial care kit/gift box from forest essentials which I bought.

About the product: The product comes in a small container (4 grams) and it is yellow in color, smooth, waxy texture, spreads easily on lips.

I don’t think it is understandable because the lip balm is totally transparent but still I have applied a little bit of the balm on my hand and added this picture.

My take on this product: Well, Firstly the packaging was looking attractive but not user friendly (the caps)..So,on opening I found this orange smelling yellow solid waxy balm.Using my finger I swipe it on the balm and apply it on my lips. This balm is transparent on lips and the feel of this lip balm is really light and smooth.. doesn’t sting my lips (I have experienced stinging sensation in case of few other products)It just takes 2-3 minutes to soften my dry and chapped lips post application. Now (i.e. in winter) But,I have to apply it 5-6 times a day for my lips to remain soft always and then there’s no sign of dryness or cracking! During winter the waxy balm is even more hardened (naturally!) and so I need to swipe my finger on the balm many times before I can actually get some of the product on my fingers (As the balm is wax based,so I think this repeated swiping on the balm produces a bit of heat which helps it to kind of melt such that it comes off) But in other seasons one or two swipes is enough!

I would give it a thumbs up 👍 for:

  • Nice smell
  • 100% natural + great ingredients
  • Doesn’t sting on my lips
  • Transparent on lips (when at home I don’t like using tinted balms)
  • Softens and smoothens my lips (really fast)
  • No cracking of lips on regular use
  • Can be used as a base coat before applying any lipstick
  • Cruelty free
  • No harmful chemicals

I would give it a thumbs down 👎 for:

  • A twist up stick would have been preferable compared to this container (for direct application on lips)
  • not enough moisturisation
  • Packaging unfriendly (stopper+slippery cap)
  • No SPF
  • Full ingredient list not mentioned
  • Expensive

My overall opinion on this product:

Well it’s a nice product except for that if your lips are extremely prone to drying and cracking then you might need to reapply it more often and no I won’t rebuy it as I am eyeing on other lip balms that hopefully would provide greater moisturisation.

Rating on a scale of 10:

2.5 out of 5
